Hedwig is a rock operetta, a stroll down camp street, and a journey into love. It manages to be a light hearted tragedy. It will make an audience gasp. It will whisk an audience down a free falling cascade of laughter. Hedwig invites you to sing along. The film a comical look at what could have been — and a delightful parody of something. And if you love great lyrics — like Paul Simon great, like my Fair Lady great, or like Bob Dylan great — then you will certainly like the rock music in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. And if you like glam costumes and a good time, and if like to laugh, then put this film on your list of things to do. It is destine to become a cult classic anyway, so think how smart you’ll look if you see Hedwig now. Because there is audience participation, I recommend that you see this film in a theater — don’t wait for the video!
