Full Service Plus Production Costs

The following cost estimate is for shooting three seperate 5 day blocks of production time to acquire image and sound assets, in addition to the editing costs of reducing these 25-35 hours of total video captured into a series of 5, 10, and 20 minute finished films and two full critical screenings. Plus Kate and Eric teach a dance and film seminar during your camp:

Summary of Production costs
(The costs of shooting are $450 per 12 hour day -- including production sound, and editing time @ $30/hour. Tapes are $8/hour. DVCam tapes are $25 each. Duplicates VHS are $5 each.)

Filming Costs
15 Full days production and sound @ $450 = $6,750

Editing Costs
Logging - 40 hours @ $30/hour = $1200
Editing - 180 hours @ $30/hour = $3600
SoundMix - 40 hours @ $30/hour = $1200
Graphics and Design - 40 hours @ $30/hour = $1200
Editing Subtotal = $7,200

Supply Costs
450 VHS Duplications of final -- $1800
25 MiniDV Tapes -- $200
3 DVCam Tapes for Final Masters -- $75
Batteries and Tape -- $25
Supply costs subtotal = $2100

Transportation Costs
(Three round trip to a location 350 miles from SF.)

Teaching Costs
